Deliverable 1.1 on Hybrid Eulerian-Lagrangian Aerodynamic Model now avalaible

This report summarises the work done in Task 1.1 of Work Package 1 on the development of QBlade Ocean

This involves the development and implementation of the hybrid Eulerian-Lagrangian flow solver with the multilevel method and the coupling of this solver into QBlade. The purpose of the higher-order flow solver is to be able to simulate accurately and efficiently the macro-effects on the development of the turbine wake due to rotor motion and excitation. This is linked directly with the main objective of the FLOATECH project to improve simulation capabilities, particularly for the application to floating offshore turbines.
