FLOATECH presented at the school on Floating Offshore Wind Energy (Italy)

From 4th to 8th of October the Lake Como School of Advanced Studies held a school on Floating Offshore Wind Energy, and more particularly concerning Flow Physics, Modelling And Testing.

In this occasion, Alessandro Bianchini from the University of Florence participated as a lecturer on Tuesday 5th during the afternoon session. The lecture he presented was about the 'challenges in developing the new generation of wind turbines'. He thus presented the FLOATECH project and its approach to increase the technical maturity and the cost competitiveness of floating offshore wind energy.

This event was also the opportunity to meet partners from another project STEP4WIND, a European Industrial Doctorate programme, granted under the H2020 Marie-Curie Innovative Training Network initiative, which also works in the field of floating wind turbines.
